RoseGate Studio

This is a multidisciplinary, one-artist studio currently working on Jewelry, Garden art, and Fibers. The Jewelry is mainly sterling silver and beadwork including seed beads, semi-precious and precious stones, all unique designs, and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Garden art consists of sculpture and blacksmithing often combined with smooth river rocks and sometimes copper.

Fibers are what I do because I love color and softness and can’t just sit without doing something with my hands. I love handknit shrugs that keep you cozy and keep drafts off your neck, but I also make hats and more traditional scarves.

About

RoseGate studio is now based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, USA. I have been sewing and doing beadwork since the 80’s, metalsmithing since the 90’s, and now I work at whatever I am inspired to do on any given day. I enjoy combining things like stone and steel, stone and leather, beads and silver, and fibers and anything that inspires me. I have a BFA in Sculpture from Ohio State University, and studied blacksmithing, fibers, glass, ceramics, and non-ferrous metals at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Since 2015 I have been a managing member of Art on Oak located in Hood River, Oregon where over 30 artists sell their work in a carefully curated gallery.
